Good product for isolating electronics

Works well for removing cable noise from my son's guitar amp. The powerline ethernet adapter seems to have added some high end harmonic hum to my son's amp and using this extender stopped that hum.

Pros
  • 4720 Joey Surge Protection Class
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Quality surge protector at a reasonable price

Surges/swells and blackouts are fairly common in my home. I used a Monster Power HDP surge block, but a recent failure blew half the capacitors and shorted out the circuit breaker built into them. I didn't want to spend that much money on a surge protector again and found this APC to be perfect for my needs. There were a few minor power surges/outages after installing the APC, no issues.

Pros
  • 8 outlets (NEMA 5-15R)
Cons
  • Almost ok

I needed a skinny extension cord with surge protection and filtering with audio components and stopped there . No disappointments. It's a little more expensive than a straight extension cord, but it has useful features plus. Hopefully it never sees nasty spikes, but I'm sure it will work as advertised. If you need a good surge protector in a small space, this is a good choice.

Pros
  • 6 inch power cord, 3-pin square connector, cable modem protection via coax connector
Cons
  • blank

APC Premium A/V Surge Protector

. The design of the new device is much more attractive and modern than in the picture. Functionally, the device is a typical high-end product from APC. The new device features a retractable outlet design, so all outlets are protected from dirt and debris unless something is plugged in. It's also the only device I've heard that doesn't interfere with our local Comcast cable modem connections. I've heard from neighbors and some friends at work that several third-party devices cause excessive line

Pros
  • APC WARRANTY: This APC A/V filter is backed by a $100,000 LIFETIME WARRANTY and a $100,000 Connected Equipment Protection Policy.
Cons
  • There are construction errors

Compact and Reliable

The perfect power supply to protect and organize your media center. The compact size fits perfectly behind your gear or can be attached to the back of your closet with screws or velcro. This should be an easy purchase with any new AV equipment.

Pros
  • Surge Protector 4720 Joue Rating
Cons
  • I'll add later
