looks like a very good product

I won't be installing any of these filters for another 3 months. So I can't give a real assessment until then. But from my experience with the filters I've used in the past, they seem to be of very high quality.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • So So

Filter Cracked in Place

I had one of those ruptures and black carbon pellets got into my plumbing system. Pressure never exceeds 60lb. This has led to a major problem with clogged toilet valves, shower heads and faucet strainers throughout the home.

Pros
  • Great Choice
Cons
  • Some Trouble

Best alternative replacement water filter for the money

The reason I give it 4 stars is because the filter housing seems a bit flimsy compared to the original spa filter. However, I've used 3 of these and they've held up pretty well. The packaging is the same as the original, with no extraneous smell or anything suspicious. Great filters for the price and I definitely recommend them.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Long delivery time

There are no instructions, so it's just guesswork.

Why is the installation not specified? Holes above or below? No instructions, marked arrows or anything that might help. There is no information in the comments or properties. If you sell a product, you have to support it. In the reviews, one person said up, the other down, but those are just customers. No response from retailer or manufacturer. 🤨

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Seems to work best with replaceable water filters

I have used these in a hot tub flushing system and they seem to work well. I was confused as to which orientation to put them in, unlike branded filters they are asymmetric with holes on one end and slightly different sized holes on each end. But it worked and the water seems good as far as we can tell. It definitely eliminates the chemical smell/taste of our tap water.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Stick to the brand name

These filters just don't compare to their more expensive competitors. Our water is high in iron, and with these filters, it tastes like iron. Not so with the name brand. The shower curtain starts to turn reddish after a few months of use, again not for a well known brand. What really bothered me is that their lifespan is probably 30-40% of the lifespan of a well-known brand, then they stop working and prevent water from flowing through them. Ignore their lower cost and opt for higher quality…

Pros
  • Like everyone else has done
Cons
  • Appearance

Limited water flow

I have ordered a dozen of these filters as a cheaper alternative to the Aqua Pure 117 well water we have at home. But as soon as I used it, the water pressure dropped immediately to the point where the shower switch barely had enough pressure to get the water flowing out of the shower head. I put a new AquaPure filter in its place and our water is back to normal pressure. Both filters say they have a 3 GPM flow rate, but there is definitely a difference between the two and now I have twelve…

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Crying hole above or below?

So, as many have pointed out, these filters only have (drainage?) holes on one end, unlike the Aqua Pure filters I usually use. The listing refers to the included installation guide which shows holes on both ends. lol. The photo in the listing shows the bottom holes when the tag (they don't come with tags) stand upright for you to read. I assumed the holes should be as low as possible to allow the cartridges to drain. Someone pointed out that they don't last as long as AP. I wonder if that…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

A great way to improve water quality!

This was a direct replacement for my WHKF GAC filters. I just unscrewed the filter housing, removed the old filter. Then I cleaned the inside of the case before inserting a new cartridge and reinstalling the case. I also used a new o-ring as the old one was starting to rot a bit and I bought 2 of these a while back. Let's hope the water quality is the same as it used to be with original hot tub filters, but I'll never know without testing the water. 4 cartridges for $36 seems like a pretty good

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
