bought used, the description says "very good" in the original packaging. It looked like the box had been used for Christmas gifts 6 years in a row. A few large dents and paint chips clearly indicating it is NOT in "very good" condition.

Purchased with bronze colored metal stand. Sharp looks, stylish but not ostentatious. Really good quality, all parts were well made, protected packed. The installation instructions were well written, all parts were present and the installation went smoothly. I love the quality and look of this mailbox and post.

I was surprised that this mailbox was built so well. And it's hard! My previous mailbox was from a large department store and was aluminum with a plastic door and a cheap hinge. After a few years the strap broke and I replaced it with this product. This box has strong steel walls and a steel hinge so I believe it will last a long time. I also like the metal door that closes securely with a large magnet. Very happy with the value of this purchase!

The mailbox has been with the post office for many years. The post office has been deteriorating since late 2020...no idea why but I'm sick of it. A neighbor helped with the installation and I'm glad I got the lockable version. Recently, an envelope of money was stolen from her box, so my choice was timely. The inner box sometimes gets stuck (magazines), but it's easy to just loosen it. A fairly heavy and good cement support post is definitely needed. But… I recommend this box. Beautiful…

Judging by the lack of packaging material, this mailbox initially looks like a return. There were also signs of use. The door was difficult to open and close as it was stuck on the right side. Suddenly the rivets on the underside of the right side gave way, detached from the red painted underside and rebounded. I've never had the opportunity to pole mount a mailbox before it failed. If heavier rivets had been used it would not have fallen apart. I do not recommend this mailbox.

The quality of the box itself is excellent but the necessary brackets and fasteners were not included and had to be ordered separately. Only noticed after receiving it. The design of the mount was okay, but the quality wasn't. I had to buy better hardware and aligning and attaching the box to the bracket was time consuming. Also, I had to modify the bracket to fix the misalignment. This mailbox should have been priced with a bracket and suitable fasteners and the fitting should not have…

We have ordered and returned 3 of these post boxes since March. All 3 came with the paint peeling off. The packaging was undamaged so it left the factory in this condition. That's quality control for you. I also bought 2 black mailboxes in the same style from Home Depot. The paint on it was fine (the first one looked like it had been returned to the shop and was really damaged. This mailbox is very sturdy and has a nice lock. There is a magnetic handle on the door, which closes and opens the mailbox with a comfortable feeling. The inner surface has a diamond finish, which in my case was a beautiful modern red. The flag is easy to raise and lower. This is a nice heavyweight mailbox and if you're used to the cheaper boxes you find everywhere you'll be pleasantly surprised by the changes it offers.
