Overall you'll love these winter pants, but if your little one has a sweet little tummy you might want to size up. The length will be quite long (I have a tall child) but the pants can always be rolled up. We originally had an 18 month old (aged 12 months) and the front zipper was always too tight. We just left it open and put on her jacket, but we had to upgrade to 2T when winter really came.

They do well in terms of heat and water resistance. However, I ordered a size 24 for my 18 month old (who is usually a little smaller for his age) and the winter pants were barely long enough from crotch to shoulder. A good growth spurt and they will be undersized. I specifically ordered a larger size to fit over layers and ensure I could use it for a full season and I'm not sure if that's possible.

We have a 14 month old girl who wears 18 month old clothes, she is 95% tall. We read reviews that they ran out so we bought size 24 months. Overalls are very easy to put on, my daughter is comfortable and can easily move in them. There is practically no room to increase the length. I would say it's shorter on the torso than on the legs. But overall very nice and serves its purpose. Our trip got canceled so I'm going back but if we went I would save her.
