It's nice to have better optics than the tiny glass on a standard Pi camera. Not to mention that you can focus on that or switch to a different lens if you don't like that focal length. Inevitably heavy with some pan/tilt mechanisms.

Camera is fine and works as sold. But the lens itself is terrible. I didn't know they REALLY could make lentils out of potato slices. But it can be replaced, so you can attach a lens that costs many times the cost of the rest of the solution (including the Pi) and get good pictures.

. I use this camera with Octoprint on my Raspberry Pi to keep track of the progress of my 3D prints. The ability to change the focus of the lens was the reason I chose this model. I also have an official Pi Camera, but for the purpose I used it for, it was always blurry. It's heavier than I expected (probably just a few grams) but looks very well built and the weight doesn't affect its performance in any way. Very glad I found this!

Works as expected. A CS mount is available, the lens itself is more suitable as a dust cover. ;) The end of the strobe and frex pens is excellent. Mounting hole pattern + hole size is an improvement over the original design. Good quality at a good price and delivered on time via Prime I've been looking for ways to connect the Raspberry Pi camera to telescopes and microscopes and the C/CS mount thread seemed like a good option to me to be. I am very happy with this camera. Better than the standard Pi Camera as you get a bit more clarity, focus and the ability to switch lenses.
