These pants fit my very skinny grandson well. They have an adjustable elastic waistband. I think they are expensive but serve well. It's just hard to find them.

These jeans are the best! All year I was looking for jeans for my grandson. He wears a size 14 and I couldn't find a pair that fit him. They were either too short, too tight or too big at the waist. Levi's has great jeans, but they're always too short and he's not particularly tall for his age. However, these Ariats are perfect. They have an adjustable waist so he doesn't have to wear a belt. My son wears a size 7 and is slim/athletic. A fitted size 7 usually fits him best, but tight-fitting pants are hard to find. These pants are a bit too long for him. We bought a size 8 so I would say they are true to size. They are also very medium in size. They aren't flimsy or bulky, but have an internal elastic band to slip them on or off when needed.
