Great all-inclusive simulator & renderer

The ability to render images in real time with minimal resources makes it ideal for simulation workflows. I like that you can use it as an interactive rendering tool or create static renders without having to worry about performance issues. It's not perfect - there are some bugs here and there but they're being worked out quickly by the development team! There isn't much else to dislike so far. If you want something simple yet powerful then this should be your choice. We've been able to do…

Pros
  • Flexible interface
  • Easy setup process (in terms getting data into system)
  • Fast renderer, especially when used through PyCAE/PyURD
Cons
  • Some problems

I've used it for rendering of several of my 3D models

I like that it allows me to see my model from all angles so quickly (which really speeds up debugging). It does have some oddities when rendering certain scenes for which you must rework your material setup multiple times before getting something right. If you're looking into using this software as an alternative/complementary tool to other render engines such as Vray or Corona Renderer then go ahead! The speed of production time can be very appealing in these types of programs if used…

Pros
  • Rendering is fast
  • I love how easy everything became after setting things straight.
  • Multi threaded renderer works wonders, especially considering budget restrictions
Cons
  • Empty
