Time Warner Cable Approved Modem - Save $10/month

I know it sounds like a publicity stunt, but it's usually because it sounds too good to be true, but it's not. All major cable providers are required to allow you to purchase your own cable modem under the FTC and cannot force you to rent their modems for ever-increasing fees. Do not use Comcast

Although the modem is advertised as Comcast compatible, the reality is more complicated. Yes, the modem works. However, throughput is down to about 10 Mbps and up to 5 Mbps. I've called Comcast three times to complain that I'm not getting the 25 Mbps I paid for. They sent technicians three times.
