This item is durable and amazing. It is strong and has prongs on the core to go through the apple with ease. My last apple knife had plastic handles and broke shortly after use. Approximately 2 weeks. I'm so glad I got this. It's amazing and beautiful. Happy customer! Now I will eat more apples. I also use it to cut up apples for my dogs.

It's so flimsy it's embarrassing. I'm seriously starting to ignore Revain's reviews. It's too small for most apples. It will BREAK INTO PIECE on second use. It's not sturdy in any way, very poorly made, the only good thing about it is that the box looks nice, but that hardly saves this poorly made apple corer. Not worth your money at all.

After about 10 months of use, all the blades broke in the welds ½ way through the [peeled] apple! This failure alarmed my wife and I ran to the kitchen, luckily she was unharmed. I pulled the blades out of the partially cut apple with a pair of tongs. Otherwise, this food slicer is very heavy and its body is very solid.

Don't buy this. Broke after 1 month if used 1-2 times a week. The blades completely detached from the outer ring and 2 "spokes" broke off when cutting the apple. It's so heavy and I was very happy with it while it worked and thought it would last longer than the plastic but it didn't last half of what it needed to and certainly wasn't worth the extra money I thought it would I have paid. for a better quality product.

I just received my "large" cutter and am very disappointed. DO NOT BUY IF you are hoping to get a cutter larger than the standard oxo brand cutter. It's the same exact crop size. I took it out of the box, immediately put it on my OXO for comparison - THE SAME. Of course, the handles are metal and OXO is plastic, but the DESCRIPTION ABOVE is WRONG. I will consider returning it as even the build quality seems good. SIZE was my reason for buying.

This is one of the best apple slicers I've ever used and that's why I have 3. It has a nice heavy duty stainless steel construction which makes it comfortable to grip. The weight is really nice and really helps you slice the apple. It's also big enough for *most*, but not all, apples.
