MEH, i've had better than that. but for a few bucks they're ok. The handles are too short and uncomfortable to use. So far they're holding on to all the nuts we've cracked.

As you can see from the price these are not heavy crackers and as others have pointed out they are best when you need a large batch of crab/lobster shell crackers for a party and this don't want to waste 20-30 bucks on premium crackers. If treated with care they are good for the price!

Not for seafood but I'm retired and living alone. So often I didn't have the "grip strength" to open a bottle or small jar. I was talking about this at my Community Book Club and one of the members suggested "Crab Leg Crackers". I'll give away the other two but I use it all the time.

We get what we pay for. They're short, light, feel cheap, and aren't as effective as longer, more precisely articulated, and heavier instruments. However, they work and I would recommend them to anyone on a budget who is throwing a big party and needs a minimally maintainable tool.

These nutcrackers are made of light alloy and are not very strong. The handles are relatively easy to bend. They probably won't fit well. For one reason or another, they bend or break. The hinge on one of my three is bad and difficult to open. You need a lot of cheap nutcrackers and don't plan on using them too often. children) and long after I left the house.
