People are right that the metal part on the front can get re-sharpened, but that's only because the metal is soft and bad if you overtighten the screw, it will bend the metal and push out the spikes. The solution is not to overtighten them or simply remove this decorative element. However, I like it. I was looking for nice inexpensive knobs to decorate a cheap oak bedroom set. These pens look great and are exactly as pictured.

This is AMAZING! This is really high-quality porcelain with a pleasant "heaviness". art is very cute! My only slightly negative comment is that the screws are so long! I understand the need to install lots of different width cabinets/drawers, but you MUST use the screw that comes with the kit and I had to buy a pair of bolt cutters ($16) to trim off the excess. I don't mind having bolt cutters because I do furniture repairs often and have used them a few times, but be aware.

When I saw these pens I fell in love. I checked out the reviews and some of them were pretty disturbing. I thought it was worth the risk because they were so beautiful. Bought for dresser Bought for my son's room. We have another baby on the way so I chose gray because we don't know the gender of our next baby. However, I would definitely describe it as more of a sky blue with some gray undertones. And that's fine because right now it's definitely a boy's room and I doubt the little one will come in and demand new pens. It kept the dresser looking new and my 11 year old had a fun little project after installing the first pair. :) I would definitely buy again…

The porcelain part of the pens themselves are good, some had small imperfections. The main downside is that the small, thin piece of aluminum at the front bends slightly when the screws are tightened, causing the sharp edge of the aluminum to stick out and snag on clothing. If you want handles to be screwed securely and not rip your clothes I suggest another product. A bit annoying is the way it's designed so the bolt pushes through the front and sticks out quite a bit through the back inside…

Unfortunately, like many reviews, someone is color blind. Some were blue, some black and white, and some green. ICC. So. I returned a part from the first batch and bought more.
