I think mine came without a part It's hard to say because there is no parts list, no instructions, just a picture which I believe shows two support wires that can fully open the bulb. In this form it looks like a crumpled old newspaper.

The parts that stretch the lamp are missing. It works and hangs, but without the parts pulling the paper down it looks like a deformed accordion. I will update this review when the seller sends me replacement parts. UPDATE: The seller resolved the issue very quickly and kept me informed. VERY HAPPY! Excellent customer service! The lamp looks great now!

The shade is so pretty and just what I wanted. The lamp work is simple and rudimentary, but everything is white and has a nice clean look. I assembled it and hooked it up for testing. The candle ignited a spark as soon as I plugged it in. There is a black spot on one pin, the metal looks rough. The ratings are so high! I wanted to be happy! 😭😭😭

The quality is not the best, so be careful with it. But it works. I would recommend buying a switch for this as the device itself is just a plug-in. I bought a recommended dimmer and went to my local ACE store to buy dimmable LED light bulbs. Works perfectly. The white chord and fasteners are ugly, as is everything else. Form over function!

The light from this tan paper lamp makes a nice reading light. I hung it from the ceiling with a single hook to the right of the headboard and it looks great and the lighted area is perfect for late night reading. Unfortunately it doesn't have a switch which isn't mentioned in the description. . Just upside down. The only way to turn off the light is to unplug it. I'll wait until I find a good Switch solution.

I'm back and buying a second lamp. Buyers should pay attention that the lamp has no switch. Just a plug. I originally wanted to buy a linear switch and was trying to find one that could handle the rather thick cord on this lamp, but then it occurred to me that I could just use a plug-in dimmer. I love this rice paper lantern. The paper is nice, thick and textured. I like that the lamp has a rectangular shape. Easy to assemble. warm light is enough to illuminate our small living room. The cord is strong which makes me feel better since the lantern is hanging from it. After buying one for my living room, I bought two more to display in a clothing store.
