Got a great deal so I'm just going to order some elastic laces. but my 7 year old NEVER ties his shoelaces. He'd rather let go of his shoelaces than tie them, and he knows how to tie them. So I just wanted to go back to Velcro uppers, but of course I ended up with lace-ups. A little disappointed in that. But the shoes themselves are great.

My son wears shoes like crazy so I'm always looking for something new and cheap. Can't comment on the durability of these shoes yet, but they look great and my son loves them. He says they are very comfortable and don't slow him down! I witnessed this firsthand when he tried them out while walking around the house, for science's sake :)

These shoes are great, they fit and look great. However, these are not the shoes I ordered. I would have sent them back but I gave them to my daughter for my granddaughter without looking closely. and my granddaughter wore them to school before I found out. They are close to the pair I ordered. The blue color is darker on them and they have a tie closure instead of velcro. Like I said, these aren't the right shoes, but they're great, and I think all's well that ends well.
