Efficiently Polish with Astro 3055 3-Inch Mini Air Polishing Kit Review

The device itself works pretty well, except you can't easily adjust the speed. The back of one of the pads came off the first time I used it. I'll try to glue it, but it's not necessary.

Tool works great. It spins super fast. I ordered assorted 3 inch wool pads and used the pads from the kit to buff my firewall which I had just painted, varnished and sanded. I recommend a controller so you can adjust the speed.

This is a very handy tool but I would suggest using a flexible adapter. It lasted a year and six months and smeared with every use. Stored in humid environment, left unused for two months. When I came back to use it I was completely stuck. The threaded rod twisted completely in two, trying to tear off the nozzle so the spindle could be serviced. Conclusion - I will buy more. Store in a dry place, oil thoroughly. A handy little tool that is always at hand.

I was a bit skeptical about buying this little guy because it was so cheap, but it worked in my favor! The device works well, the whole boat is polished with it, only one small problem - the trigger sticks, from time to time it wanted to get stuck. I lubricated it with air tool oil as needed and it seemed to get better with more use. Little problem. I paint and polish cars for a living. Bought when my electric DeWalt just wasn't up to the task (bottlenecks, missed tip, bodybuilder scratched bumper, etc.). This fully meets the requirements! The manufacturer says it's 1 speed, no adjustments, but I found I could press the button a little less to get about half the speed (you need strong fingers and a gentle touch, but it works). I wasn't sure about the pads that came with it. (managed to mess up the styrofoam cutter on first use, user error)
