ASUS should not advertise this board as Zen 3/5000 series ready. The BIOS that came with my board was dated 7/2020 - a few months before Zen 3 launched. So when I tried to boot my new build from the 5600X, nothing got past the BIOS splash screen. To my knowledge the only workaround for such a board is to use an earlier AM4 processor to boot Windows, update the BIOS from there, remove the old processor and reinstall the Zen 3 chip. that you have a different AM4 processor from the previous…

Works out of the box with Ryzen 5 3600xt, has PCIe 4.0, lots of USB 3.0. A great budget board for those who want socket AM4 or don't need too much.

This purchase was a nightmare! This mobo came with an outdated bios. So if you want to install a Ryzen 5 5600X or higher, you can't do that. mobo will not POST! The box says it's compatible with the third generation, but after updating the BIOS. and for that you must have a Ryzen 3000 series to pass the motherboard POST. therefore I do not recommend this product.

Overall this is a decent MB for the money you are paying for. A few problems with this MB: 1. The PCI slot for the graphics card is in the wrong place and too close to the very edge of the board. If your case is about the same size as your motherboard, your graphics card will be mostly on the edge of that board and you won't get good airflow. The board is simple. Everything arrives well. Don't expect a monster for the price - it's simple, easy to set up and works well. It is really designed for Ryzen 4000 series APUs because the 2-slot GPU covers most of the PCIe slots and interferes with the signal with the WiFi card in the last slot. However, it is effective.
