Probably any underwear can be called thermal underwear, but it's more like silk stockings, only looser and thicker. They look like satin, very silky. The price doesn't put me off too much and I think they'll keep me a little warmer. I was expecting something thicker and heavier.

I bought these for my husband who first said "Thanks but I will never wear them." He has tried them on and now takes them with him wherever he goes drives to work. I don't think they will keep him warm outside but the comfort caught his attention. Also, I don't think they can handle too many socks. but they were worth it.

I put them on for the first time this morning. I work outdoors and prefer shorts to pants for freedom of movement. I have these pants to wear under shorts. It was 40°F and slightly windy. I stayed warm all morning. When it got warmer, I was able to roll them up easily. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because they don't have a crotch window and they don't fit around the shin. Overall a good product. I'll buy a few more before the end of winter.

This was not what I expected. I really thought it was just standard colored thermal pants. Instead, they look more like stretchy pants or tights - leggings (if that's what I noticed when I bought them) but damn they keep me warm. I work an average of 12 hours a day in the cooler at just over 32 degrees, which keeps me warmer than my old thermos. Definitely worth it. Make sure you know your size.
