The original part that came with my KitchenAid was raw aluminum (where the hub connects the whisk) and I unknowingly washed it in the dishwasher. Not a good move, after that my fingers will turn black forever. When I saw that everything was stainless steel, I knew I had to order one. It's so well done, I'm a happy camper!

I have used this whip twice. The base is made from cheap metal and has turned black despite being hand washed and dried before being put away. I really don't want what I'm mixing in there to interfere with that. Really disappointed with the quality. I have bought many replacement whips for my kitchen helper but have never had this problem. The description says stainless steel. That's a lie.

I inherited my KitchenAid from my great grandmother so I didn't get all the original parts and bought them for my K45SS model. It's a decent, quick replacement. If you want the real deal, check out kitchenAid. I believe less than 20 dollars. Goes perfectly with my blender! I haven't put mine in the dishwasher so I can't confirm it's dishwasher safe and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. I wash and hand dry them before putting them away.

this is the third time I've bought this whisk for my Kitchen Aid model but none of them work as well as the original. I find them short lived as I buy a new one about every two years and mostly use my Kitchen Aid during the holidays. They tend to fall apart. Difficult to explain. I wish I had a picture. Despite everything, the price is relatively cheap overall. I'll buy another one in a few years. I think it's not too expensive for repeat purchases.

Works and fits my car perfectly. Slightly smaller than the original but works great! Update: I used this very lightly and it caught my eye when I washed and let dry. Some residue remains. Like little hard spots of water droplets. This is a sign of cheap metal. If it helps describe it better - it's like putting a "metallic" object in the dishwasher (it's not dishwasher safe) - when you take it out it has all this crusty white stuff on it. Like it's getting worse. Anyway, just an update for those
