Great player, terrible collection of albums

Wanted to hear my albums from the mid 70's to get some of my youth back. I bought this turntable, played the Tower of Power album and... . . There are cracks, rattles, hisses and all other annoying noises from the old, damaged and overdubbed vinyl. I give this player 5 stars and the condition of my album collection 1 star. Luckily Revain refunded the turntable in full but no credit for my wasted youth.

Great for converting vinyl to digital files

This is a very good player to convert vinyl to digital files on your computer. I found the supplied pickup a bit tinny at a high level, but easy to exchange for a higher-quality pickup. I was willing to repackage the unit and send it in as defective in exchange for a new one. I'm glad I called the Audio Technica Support Center first. In order to play back recordings on a computer or to use software to digitize recordings, your computer's sound system must first be set to activate the player sound. The support team

Better than expected

I'm new to turntables. Grew up listening to them in the 80's but switched to CDs as soon as they were invented. I am currently checking this format. I considered different options and after some research settled on Audio Technica and Rega. The Rega P1, Rega P2 sound slightly better than the Audio Technica LP120, but the Rega wasn't worth the higher price. While I'm not a DJ the AT LP120's aesthetic grew for me and with the added features/lights it felt like I was getting more bang for my buck…
