There is the sound I want.

I liked the sound right from the start, it was built into my turntable. I guess I'm the type of person that likes the standard stuff because it's made into cars and everything else. Sounds great, but not for long.

Pros
  • As far as I am satisfied
Cons
  • Only available in black

My new standard. for turntables

This needle and cart is my new standard. I have a less expensive conical (blue) version as well as a discontinued version of it. In terms of detail, channel separation, tracking management and overall value, this one wins out of the three I've played with. This may surprise you. If all you're looking for is fresh, great sound and playing old records, conical platters are probably your best bet.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Not bad

Garbage quality and not durable.

This is the third replacement I've had, same problem every time, needle just falls out of head, been a DJ for over 20 years and a record collector for almost 40 years. I have used many different needles and have never had this problem. They were only used at home and lasted about 3 weeks each. Used with care and no problems. very disappointing. the sound quality is decent.

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Approximately

You Can Sart Me Up - I'll Never Stop Playing Vinyl.

Came with my new AT 120x turntable. The pen is simple, suitable for starting. Worn out in just over a month of daily play. I heard him jump on a Rolling Stones record and examination under a mini-microscope showed that the diamond tip had sheared off due to wear. Luckily I also ordered a second VMN95 stylus as a backup. Will be upgraded to AT VMN95ML pen and possibly Shibata pen (red and brown). Reviews of the ML pen indicate that it is the most durable compared to the Shibata which is the most

Pros
  • great product

  • sad packaging

Sound Quality

I have a Fluance RT-81 and contacted the company to see what they could offer as an upgrade to the AT-95E that came with this player. They said the Ortofon OM-5E is an upgrade. I ordered and set everything up (align needle, set downforce etc.) and started playing the album. In short, my ears preferred the AT-95E. It sounded richer and clearer to me, so I keep the OM-5E in my desk drawer for emergencies.

Pros
  • Electronic Music, DJ & Karaoke
Cons
  • Very Expensive
