Works, but it would be better if one end stayed hooked into the mask's earhook. The little inside of the hook looks like it's meant to be springy, and its tip touches the outer hook so it holds it when you squeeze the earloop between them. Due to its construction, the hooks fall out of both ear loops when putting on and taking off.

Bought a set to save my ears as I wear a mask all day at work in the hospital. Article found! The only issue I had with one set was that the hard plastic bottom piece had ripped off the lanyard. This shows that you can cut the length to remove the plastic end piece, but I didn't want to do that. Other than that, it's great! Much better than a plastic earplug!

I work in different kindergartens and I have to wear a mask during the whole visit. I wear a cloth mask and a surgical mask (I'm so paranoid). Unfortunately, they are terribly sore ears. I can tie my hair back and use this mask extender to wear both masks. My complaint was that the accessory broke at the end and I had to tie a knot to secure the end. I have dreadlocks so overall this is a suitable solution for me to relieve my earache.

Loops on the mask always irritate the ears after a while. This device worked fairly well for this issue, but it could have been designed a little differently. For example, the plastic hooks that attach to the ear loops are open hooks, so they easily slip off the ear loops when the tension is released, meaning these things are easy to lose. I would prefer an enclosed mount so I can easily slip it on and off over my head instead of trying to hook or unhook the device every time I put it on or…
