    Not disappointed. Good model

    1:18 scale, it is a good strong display model. I highly recommend it for those who are nostalgic for porch popcorn movies and late night TV shows from the 70's. Too bad there are no sound effects, but that's what Blu-ray is for.

    My son-in-law is delighted!

    Hey this guy likes George Barris! Just like me. The car looks just as evil and evil in the model as it does in the movie These Are My Friends, which are pretty creepy in and of themselves. It's well detailed. Arrived well protected. I'm even thinking about buying another one!

    Sinister Beauty Auto Fit

    I have a particular fondness for the horror thriller THE CAR (1977) and this lovingly crafted diecast model would make a wonderful collector's item for any film buff! I can almost hear the sinister horn humming as it flattens another unfortunate victim! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! *****

    1/18 Scale Monster Car Ertle Reissue

    I bought these as soon as I knew they were reissued. The box has ample space at the top and sides, but the front and rear of the car are not visible. It is securely fixed for transport and protected by a plastic cover. Doors, hood and trunk open and the front wheels turn. Pretty good details inside and out.

    This is a very well made replica of the notorious evil Car Killer that wiped out half the police force and many civilians. great detail. It even has that red tint inside. Doors, trunk and hood open. the wheels turn. This car is heavy. Great purchase and worth every dollar spent. If you liked the movie as much as I did, then buy this car while you can.

    A scale model of my favorite horror movie car. This one is hard too! Probably weighs 1/18th of the original! This car is an excellent reproduction of the model, right down to the eerily tinted windows. Doors, hood and trunk open and close - if you have the courage to look inside.     Looks better than the real car from the movie

    I like this model. My favorite movie as a kid and I had the opportunity to work with George Barris and the reality show he was a part of here in LA. several years before his death. He sat there and told me stories not only about this film but also about many of his other projects. When I record this model I have dug up my signed DVD and the machine on tape is not as well made as this model!     Identical to the Ertl version sold on eBay for $200!

    I've been collecting 1/18th scale car models my whole life and this is one of my favorite models! I looked for The Car on eBay to add to my collection and the offered (used, of course) retired Ertl versions were $150-$200! And we're in good shape at best. As this is out of my price range I went with Amazon and I'm glad I did. The Auto World version is exactly the same as the Ertl version, and it's brand new and half price! The detail is incredible.
