Working, will buy again

Bought this ballast about a year ago and it's still holding up. Now the right side is out of order. I will buy this ballast again. The price can't be beat and the quality is a must.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

It was just as advertised. Just came and works

I liked that it was a direct replacement for the one in my Toyota. It was tricky to install, but it was Toyota's fault for not being easy to access the part.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled

Prius price '08! in Lights Assembly

The price of this piece from Toyota. It will hurt your feelings. And it's not a super easy setup. It takes some planning, modification, and determination, but I saved about $200 without the work, so WIN!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Was damaged

Works with some modifications

Parts fit and work perfectly. You must either connect the wires to the old headlight connector or disassemble the headlight connector. Our Gen 2 has a different plug for the power cord, so that too had to be swapped out for an old ballast. After everything was removed, it took about 90 minutes to replace a pair. hope they hold up.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Compatibility

2nd Generation Prius HID Light Flickering/Off Fix

Very helpful in solving 2008 Prius HID Lights Flickering/Off. The large fork was easy to disassemble. The small connector was easy to detach so that the existing connector could be reused. The installation in the headlight also worked well and the existing fastening screws could be reused.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Available in Black Only

They fit perfectly / but only lasted 4 months!

I bought these for Toyota Prado (similar to Lexus GX 460) and they fit perfectly. Difficult to install because they go under the headlights but worth it. In Latin America, genuine items cost three times as much and work great! Many Thanks. Blown out after 4 months of use! Yes, much cheaper, but the originals lasted 8 years.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Socket required

So far, so good! - Lighting and lighting accessories

So far so good. I looked at a direct replacement and they are about $300 each so I decided to take a chance and buy them for $40. They were easy to install, so I searched YouTube. Video how to install them, it's actually pretty easy the second time around as I just bought a second unit for my drivers side. I would buy them and pears if they come out at the same time. My 2006 Prius has 260,000 miles on it so I guessed what they would be doing at that time. Even though the ballasts only last 5…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Functionality
