Although I own other tools for checking, testing and evaluating batteries and alternators, I bought this tool for a quick and easy initial check before using other more thorough tools. These devices are easy to use and provide immediate feedback on the need for further testing.

I have a large 12v battery that powers the sump pumps in my basement. The company that installed the pumps comes once a year to service the pumps. Every time they come they try to sell me a new battery for $500. Now I can test the battery myself. Very helpful. The product is good value for money and works well.

This device quickly tells me everything I need to know about the health of my car battery using idiotic lightbulbs. There is no real data display, only light, but it gives me basic information that is useful. If I need more information, I pull out my DMM. This little gem is great for maximum practicality.

Perfect for what I need. My ship's batteries tend to frequently die or run out of power. My previous tester (Wallie-World) cost twice as much and didn't work as hard. Bought last year, not used since December, somehow broken. Unexpected as it was stored on a shelf. I'm very impressed with this little thing. Don't let the light weight fool you - this stuff really works!

This battery/alternator tester is extremely easy to use. Unlike most simple light indicators, this tester emits 4 lights to indicate battery status (40%, 60%, 80%, 100%) with different colors. Most testers of this type only give 3 (low, medium, high). I highly recommend this tester for its design and simplicity. I ordered 2 testers to keep one in my shed for my mower.

This tester works well. I always have it in my car to check the battery before a trip. Without warning, my car completely lost power while driving. After the mechanics couldn't figure out what was wrong, I replaced the alternator myself and use it to make sure the alternator is charging the battery properly. My only complaint is that the instructions weren't very clear. Usually the green alternator status light stays on, but sometimes it goes out and the red alternator fault light never comes…

First of all I have to say that I received the item on time and exactly as advertised on the website. I immediately used it to check one of my cars and it checked my battery as expected. I bought another tester, much larger and printable. So there was no difference in the result between the two, the device with printing capability is in the range of $40 more expensive compared to $11 for this device.
