This tool has become so useful. I found more uses for it than I initially thought. Installing license plates, installing legs and racks, the list just keeps getting longer.

If you do commercial jobs day in and day out you can get a heavier tool, but for casual home use this tool covers all the bases.

This is an amazing tool, much better than the bolts and oversized nuts method, it turns nuts quickly and easily, you need a strong hand to use it but it's still worth every penny value.

Finally tried it while installing my light bar. I used it to screw a light bar to the front of my car. It was easy to install the correct rivet nut with all the hardware provided. By lining up the correct mounting holes, I was able to insert the rivet nuts into the shoe in seconds. Everything is aligned correctly and without problems. Now I just need to find more projects and things to use this bad boy in.

I have used 14 M5 rivet nuts and 2 M6 rivet nuts with no problems. Works well and is fairly easy to use. The threads on the rivet nut looked like they were about to come loose. But once I figured out how to properly set the plug so that when fully compressed with more force, the rivet nut just rests on the plug and not pulling on the threads, it stopped showing signs of detachment. Anyone who removes them is basically user error and not a poor quality tool.

When I first used it (with the M3 rivet included in the tool) the threads on the mandrel were stripped. I asked Revain to send a new frame, which they did. This had a shorter M3 thread than the original but long enough to fully fit the rivet nut threads. The spike broke the first time I used it. Yes, I was very careful to keep everything straight and not push too hard. I don't know if this tool has the same problem with large thread sizes.
