Literally examined this lamp under a microscope. Usually fakes are easy to spot under the microscope because you can see fine details. The matchstick-sized body of the lamp has very small numbers engraved inside the lamp's reflector. Same as the original that came with the projector. The make-believe world probably didn't bother with this detail because it's too much work and expense that would never have been noticed without the increase. Again, it looks like an original OSRAM lamp. I didn't get my microscope out, but I did a visual comparison and it's authentic. Installation took about 15 minutes. If I have to buy one every 10 months I think a 200 inch screen is a worthwhile investment. The brightness is good, even with the mood on. Wear rubber or latex gloves when installing the lamp. Purchased in July 2017 but stuck just put it in the projector. My existing lamp has around 1100 hours so I bought it as a backup. Should have tested it immediately, but got around to it today (12/13/2017). The lamp has 1/4 brightness (very dim) of the original lamp (with 1100 hours). All colors are faded and dull.
