I bought this watch for my 7 year old grandson. He needed to know when to contact us when he was visiting friends in the neighborhood. We love the alarm function. We just set it up to come back when it can. He also likes to tell the time. After reading the instructions on how to set the time, set it to 12-hour format, AM and PM, then it's easy to set the alarm. Contains 3 different alarm clocks. I like the bright colors too. Definitely worth it.

8 silver buttons are not all buttons. Only 4 buttons. The lower left button can be pressed 6 times to enter time setting mode. In time setting mode, you can press the lower right button to view each category (month, day, time, year).
