Well Made Beast good for me

This backpack is well made and fits my gear comfortably. I am 5'9" female and it worked well for me. I carried two Nikon camera bodies, a 70-200, 14-24, 24-70, and 85, with accessories all over the Rocky Mountains. Loaded with that gear I weighed the pack before we left and it was 37 pounds. Once I added water etc, for the hiking I would estimate it was about 40lbs. It is heavy and and I relished taking it off after long hikes :) It is not for the faint of heart but if you have a lot of gear…

Pros
  • Superior Fit: Robust lumbar padding, hip-hugging waist belt, quick-dry back panel, and foam ridges for increased ventilation
Cons
  • The backpack is quite rigid, which can make it difficult to pack when traveling

This pack can carry a lot of weight comfortably.

I like being able to load two camera bodies and three lenses along with extras in one back pack.Even though it is heavy, it’s comfortable.

Pros
  • Fits Nikon D3S attached to 70–200mm f/2.8, SB-910 Speedlight, 105mm f/2.8 Macro, Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART, 50 f/1.4, Filter Nest Mini, 24–70mm f/2.8, 14–24mm f/2.8 or Sony A7R II attached to 24–70mm f/2.8 GM, GoPro Hero 5, DJI Mavic Pro, Mavic Controller, Filter Nest Mini, A7R II attached to 16–35mm f/4, 70–200mm f/2.8 GM, 90mm f/2.8 Macro
Cons
  • The zippers on the backpack can be quite stiff and difficult to use, which can be frustrating when trying to access your camera equipment quickly

Fantastic pack! - my new review

This is an awesome camera pack for hiking and loading up. I had all of my camera gear and lenses and tripod and a very heavy neoprene chest waders attached to this. The pack must have weighed 45#+. I hiked 9-10 miles in the eastern sierras to shoot the fall colors and it felt much lighter than the 45# that it was because the pack is so comfortable. I would definitely recommend this pack to anyone wanting to load this pack up for all your outdoor adventures. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this…

Pros
  • Packed it full and put some miles on it. Never let me down. Ready for more.
Cons
  • The straps on the backpack are not very padded, which can cause discomfort and pain, especially if the bag is fully loaded

Beast of a gear hauler

This is such an amazing pack. 45L is huge. But I have my d750 w/ 70-200 attached, d750 w/ 24-70 attached, a Godox ad200, reflectors, filters, and LOTS more. It’s got a great hip belt, chest strap and load lifters. Wears great. Biggest plus is I fly with it a lot and the internal pack comes out. So on those small grasshopper flights, the pack comes out, goes in the over head and the "shell” goes on top. It won’t fit assembled though. Idk why this fits but it does and is a huge life saver from…

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • The backpack is quite expensive, which might not be practical for those on a tight budget

Comfortable and Practical

This is my third Mindshift bag and they keep getting better. this one is near perfect. The harness is great and fits my 5'8' 160lb body nicely. The shoulder straps still slip like previous bags, but it is not bad. The inside storage is awesome like the others, but this one can be taken out of the backpack frame in case I fail to sneak it onto the plane and that is sweet. The zipper pulls are different and a total fail. I find them very difficult to grip and they usually slip through my fingers…

Pros
  • Back and top panel access to all of your camera gear, allowing you to work out of your bag without getting your harness dirty or wet
Cons
  • The backpack is not waterproof, which can be a problem if you are shooting in wet weather conditions

Fantastically capable (update)

Update after many trips - I still love this pack. It is my go to for almost every situation and allows so much customization and versatility. I've taken this pack all over Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and the Appalachians and there is no wear or tear damage at all. Also, the ThinkTank customer support has been great when I've had questions. This bag was there culmination of a long search for something that could handle multiple lenses and gear and be a day pack or over nighter. Every…

Pros
  • Think Tank Photo
Cons
  • The backpack is quite large, which may not be suitable for those who only need to carry a small amount of camera equipment
