This is a great bag! My commute to and from work involves a mile walk as well as public transit, so the versatility of going from backpack mode to crossbody is ideal. A zip pocket on the back (opens behind the back if you're wearing it as a backpack) is great for that extra sense of security, and there are a few small pockets inside. It's big enough for a 13" MacBook, a compact umbrella, dishes/lunch, a wallet and a few extras, but it's small enough that I don't feel like a Sherpa.

I really like this bag, it's big enough to put the usual stuff in your wallet and also if you have kids enough space to put small toys or snacks in it. The straps are very comfortable even after wearing them for a long time. The only problem I have is that sometimes it's difficult to find your items and it turns into a "black hole" when you're looking for something that takes a minute to find. I liked this bag until the main compartment zipper broke. I haven't had the bag long, don't use it every day and don't handle it roughly. I bought this bag thinking it would be cute, small but roomy and strong enough. I was wrong. It's a wrinkled and crumpled mess from the way it was packaged. It's small and doesn't take up space (I keep three pens, a glasses case, a pocket knife and some deodorant in the big bag, which is handy). I bought this bag specifically for a weekend getaway and it works perfectly as a handbag/backpack. In addition to my wallet essentials (wallet, phone, sunglasses, some makeup items), it also fits a 20 ounce stainless steel bottle and a cardigan. Love this bag! It took me a long time (several months) and multiple backpack purchases (to try out) to find the perfect bag for work. Received this in red. On the face it is a smooth, non-shiny dark red tissue. The color is more of a burgundy with black added (the pattern is the same as the mottled gray t-shirts, only the pattern is maroon instead of gray with solid black).
