Great balaclava, big improvement over my previous one. This part is very breathable, it almost looks like there is nothing on it.

Would be great in freezing cold weather I was sweating like a hog snowboarding in 30 degrees in Wrightwood, California, too hot for my conditions

Fits a little snug on a medium sized head but too snug on a large head. light, good because it does not overheat when working in the cold. very convenient.

I work on the street. Other face masks of this type were a problem because there was no real ventilation to breathe out. So my sunglasses fogged up pretty quickly and I had to take off my mask for safety reasons. This mask is not like that. Lots of ventilation and still you are safe from the biting wind. Highly recommended.

I think this is a well made product. However, if it wasn't so tight (I wear a size 6 hat) I would have given it 5 stars. Still warm with a hood, 28 degrees. A little difficult to breathe through the material, reason for 4 stars again. I love how it folds up compact enough to slip into a coat pocket while wearing gloves. In general I am satisfied with the purchase, the price is also very reasonable.

Bought this to wear under the XD-4 when driving in the winter. Considering the price and the effectiveness of heating my head, neck and face at high speeds during a severe New England winter, this is some of the best gear I have ever bought. The seams tear or the material stretches when putting it on and taking it off, but after two months there are no problems.

I bought two different brands to see which one is better - this product won! I have since bought 5 more for family members. Soft inside, close to the face and neck but not too tight, windproof, breathable and looks high quality. I wore these outside for 3 hours in 25 degree, windy weather - then when I went inside I took them off - I was amazed at how cold the wind was - but this balaclava still kept me warm. I highly recommend this product.

Very warm, very black, very thick, very soft inside. However, I've never had one of these items, but it only kept me warm on the part of my nose that I thought would be made of a material that made it breathable, but not so tight that I got a runny nose would have. maybe I just need to use it a few more times.
