Very effective for target shooting! I wish they were filled with a water bladder to give them more weight. At some point I'll probably change them.

The handle is a bit flimsy making it difficult to hold steady for a continuous impact. It's much larger than the average human head, making it easy for beginners to hit. Made from good rubber that won't hurt your bare hand/fist.

This device is worth buying. I think the only downside was that the stylus was rubbing my hand pretty hard when trying to hold it. I would recommend wearing a glove, a non-slip glove to avoid abrasion and to hold gear more tightly if your hand starts to sweat. Doesn't hold up well. The handle should be in the middle (perhaps because of the half-empty head) and not at the back because it just swings back and forth uncontrollably when someone throws hooks (even light ones). Can usually take jabs and crosses. Also too hard. Does not absorb shock even with slight air deflation. And it smells like a Fermaldyhdi fragrance. If I can't use it for hooks I could just use a regular pad for straights.
