I use (8) of these in a Rubbermaid Brute container. Only (2) are permanently below the waterline, but they do not leak. I have about 11 gallons of water pressurizing them at about 14 inches and no leaks yet. The key is to put an EPDM gasket on the side of the water tank. I used this to hook up the plumbing to refill the fountain waterfall tank. Easy to use and seals the hole in the plastic tank well. Use it to mark the size of the hole in the tank, cut the hole, screw the fitting together on both sides, and the rubber gasket will seal the fitting to prevent the hose from leaking.
