Good until you use it

Large can lost weight after only 4 uses. Technically the product still works, but the product isn't made to last and I wouldn't buy it again, just take your boston shaker from the cocktail kingdom.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Annoying

As a professional bartender I have to say it was.

As a professional bartender I have to say they were too big for my liking. The clasp wasn't tight, but I know some prefer it that way. They were bigger than my old Korikos but I would say the quality is the same. Not a big fan. Returned them.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Poor set

Gets stuck every time!

I already have a Barfly Shaker and have decided to buy another one. This time I bought the black one. Not only does it stick every time, but the black coating is already peeling off, and I've only had it for 3 months. The uncoated one doesn't get stuck as often. Do not buy coated or film coated shakers!

Pros
  • Something more
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Ok but the bottom caps fall off the cheap construction

I like shakers but the weighted bottom caps have fallen off due to poor spot welding and metal expansion and contraction with temperature changes. I returned the first one I ordered and the one sent to me as a replacement did the same. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Hard to tell

The paint is absolutely terrible

After only 1 day of use, the paint began to peel off. By the second day it was useless because every time I shook and strained the cocktail, color flakes appeared in customers' drinks, which is totally unacceptable. If you're coming from a bartender who takes their job very seriously, look elsewhere. Yes the shaker looks very cool but they need to put a clear coat or something on the shaker to stop the peeling/peeling.

Pros
  • Action
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Purchase limit 5 pieces brilliant.

I do not think they are suitable for professional use because there is a 5 limit. I bought one to try and then went back to buy more and found the limit. There doesn't seem to be a time frame either, so if you need a few and think you'll need to replace some at some point, be careful. Sorry guys, do you want to sell them or not? Or is it an attempt to create some kind of limited supply-demand situation? Many other fish in the sea avoid this nonsense.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • secret

The bottom part broke after a week

The shaker works great, the heavy base helps insulate your hands when shaking a cold drink and the metal walls are easy to fold with a hard breaking blow after a week of use. When it arrived the cup was tilted slightly at the bottom when placed off center so I should have suspected something was wrong. The smaller can seems to be welded or crimped better, but I don't know why the larger cup isn't. Very disappointed as I chose them for the heavy base.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than other picks

Weight flies with time, shoddy spot welding. Beware of projectiles.

I've been using this for a few months now after my grinder stopped working and initially loved it. I really wanted to love her. But the freshly weighted butt just flew off my tall form and nearly hit my poor cat, who loves to stand at my feet while I mix, in the head. I see now that this seems to be a common problem with these things due to the less than prominent welds they attach. They last long enough to write a good review about them, and then the discount rears its ugly face. Buyer…

Spot welding best for kitchen utensils and appliances

I work as a bartender in a large hotel bar and keep it at home. . I didn't want to pay ridiculous prices to ship the cocktail kingdom sets so I chose Barfly's. Upon arrival, however, I immediately noticed that the indentations around the weighted floors meant the floors were spot welded. Personally, I don't compromise on quality when it comes to bar essentials like wine keys and shakers, so I immediately sent it back. It will work and serve for home use, but I didn't want the floor to fall off…

Pros
  • Canned satin finish to hide wear, stainless steel dishwasher safe
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
