Good wire, more stretchy.

The cable does not stretch well and twists, causing the connector to stretch when connected to the car. Although not listed in the description, the wire size is very good.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Useless features

High quality but too hard and the color code was wrong

It took me a while to realize that the color code was wrong and didn't match. Installation took much longer than required but once installed the cable was very stiff and strong.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not bad

Note that heavy-duty applications require a longer version.

I wanted a 6" cable but as reviews said it was difficult to extend I went for the 8" version and it works well between my motorhomes and toad. It's hard and the extension is pretty tricky, but works great for me.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Will not stick to external accessories

In just 2 years the outer coating rotted, cracked and exposed the wires. The camper is stored under a canopy and has never had any problems with the original cables. I wanted the spool to prevent pulling but return to the original cable.

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Non-standard wiring made it unsuitable for me

Wiring colors didn't match truck wiring and I don't know how to figure out which wire goes where. As others have pointed out, this is an extremely tight coil. That would still be sufficient for my purposes, but I can see where this can be a problem for many. Buy more, at least 50%. The thickness corresponds to the wiring of my motorhome. No problem.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not the best

It worked almost best with hitch accessories

It was a foot shorter. It's hard to tell how long the folded thing will be. I'll try to use it anyway, but it can break or tear when turning a corner. The wire was too thick for the connector I had. I cut off a few strands, straightened my forehead, and stuck the large wires through these small holes. I hope they don't stretch (see previous sentence). All of this, of course, weighs more than it should.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • thin

Bulky and NOT color matched

This thing is a lot thicker than others I've used (good if you need extra cable protection). The power and ground wires are thicker, which is great. But my biggest complaint is that the colors do NOT match the standard trailer cable colors. White (ground), black (power) and blue (brakes) are all fine, the rest is utter nonsense. Yellow is auxiliary light (should be purple or red), red is left turn (should be yellow), brown is right turn (should be green), green is tail light (should be brown)โ€ฆ

  • Price
Cons
  • Not sure

Standards Gotta Love

.especially when there are several different "Standardsโ€! This cable is really different from the standard you usually find on the internet. However, I wired it up using the color code chart I had with an old Bargman 7 pin pigtail and everything was correct. RV.) The length is good as I had no problem stretching to 7-8ft. When connecting to the 6-pin header I used pin connectors (https://smile.amazon.com/12-10-Ga-Insulated-Pin-Terminals/dp/B00NVC1RHO) on ground and auxiliary. Power wires (bothโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
