Great device for charging and maintaining aircraft batteries

I've had this BatteryMINDer for Concord 12v aircraft batteries for a little over a month now and it works as advertised. He discharged the new Concord battery in my Cessna C-180 and keeps it fully charged while the plane is in the hangar.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure

Correct charging voltage for Concorde AGM aircraft batteries.

12V Aviation Concorde AGM batteries cannot withstand a charging voltage higher than 14.2V (similar to the voltage of your aircraft's electrical system). Most other chargers have charging voltages in excess of 15.7 volts! I measured 14.1V from this charger. If you've invested $$$ in a Concorde AGM, you need this charger to keep it going. money well spent.

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Expensive but worth considering.

New aircraft batteries are expensive and I've replaced many of them with cheap chargers. I've never been able to hold chargers on an airplane. With this, it stays on all the time and keeps the battery charged. The aircraft takes off without damaging the battery. Happy with it, but the price is very high. This pays off when batteries are replaced and especially when flights are missed due to empty batteries.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not the best

Aircraft approved MINDER battery. 128CEC1 12V

I killed three Walmart chargers before buying this expensive little toy. $30 charger dead, $60 charger dead, $90 charger not working. . They register perfectly as if they just stepped out of the factory gates. I use 3 and 1 year RV batteries all the time. All batteries now have the same profile, the highest grade on the charger. These batteries are used every day and what annoyed other Wally chargers was when a small load was detected. Burden. This burned two chargers and the other just stopped
