I bought this about a month ago to have a backup to the original model as our 23 lbs terrier likes to chase squirrels and hits the end of the cord which is starting to stretch. This has an improved softer texture on the handle that is a bit more comfortable so the original is now the backup. I’ll update the review once one of them actually breaks. So far, so good.

This leash is better suited for medium dogs, although it is rated for dogs up to 110 lbs. The clasp is very small and although I walked my 80 lb shephard/doberman mix on it, I would wouldn't trust it if he were a strong puller or lunger. That being said, it held up well enough on our walk and was very easy to use. Everything about this leash is perfect except it tugs a little too tight. If the slack could be just a little looser, it would be perfect. The locking function works great, the ergonomics are otherwise perfect, and it is a nice looking leash. I enjoy the container for the baggies and it doesn't get in the way when using the leash.

This was my favorite brand, until they changed quality. This leash lasted me so long, but someone ran it over with their car, therefore I had to buy a new one and it was not the same quality. This is like dollar store quality, they even changed the packaging to be cheaper.

Retracts well. Locking one handed a bit cumbersom and has unlocked a few times on its own but overall solid. That's my feedback!

We just got back from our first walk with the new leash and had the best walk ever! Our dog is 60 lbs and is an energetic 2.5 year old male. He's not always a good walker. This is a strong adjustable leash. The locking is a bit weird as you have to 1st hold the button down 2nd move it forward, all while trying to keep your 70lb dog from chasing something!

As you can see in my photos, I have a strong and active puppy. You can see in the photos that the nylon lead is almost 1/2” wide and approx. 1/8” thick. Fairly small clasp that is very strong. It is easy to use and functions as described.

I first purchased one of these about a year ago, my wife and I was getting a new puppy. About 2 weeks ago or so it began acting up, didn't want to lock and unlock. So I purchased another identical one. After about 2 weeks so far so good. Much cheaper than the retractable leashes that stores have. I checked stores before purchasing the item 2 weeks ago and everything comparable to this item was $40 in stores.A much better deal!

My parents always walk their husky and prefer to let her out on a long leash. She often pulls like she's trying to lead a sled team and this seems to be the only leash that can withstand that pulling for as long as it can. Eventually, it does seem to give out, but this leash lasts usually 8 months to a year, where as every other brand we've found normally lasts a month or less. At the price point, it's worth it for us to buy this for my parents to use with their dogs.

Sturdy, easy to use. Only minor complaint would be that it is sometimes hard to lock when the dog is pulling, easy to stop them but need a tiny bit of slack to put the lock on so it stays. Great leash at a good price.

Feels of quality materials easy to lock and retract my dog loves ot compared to a regular leash. I love the saying on the side of it however with little less than a weeks use with a dog of only 20lbs my leash part has freyed a bit.

the retractable leash is comfortable to use, along with being sturdy and durable enough to keep a young large dog close enough but allows him to enjoy a leisurely walk with his human.

This leash seemed like good quality, sturdy and durable. Unfortunately my puppy chewed through it and broke it before we even got out of our yard to go on a walk. I can’t give a complete review on how it works but apparently the rope part is not chew proof :-) . I have since bought him a cheap leash but possibly in the future I will purchase this one again when he is not chewing everything in site.

I’ve been using it for a week and works great. My dog is a puller and he pulls hard, for the first time he hasn’t ruin the locking mechanism. He destroyed all his old retractible leashes. This one works just fine and I can finally control where he goes!

I have a 65 Lb fur baby that is 10 years old and I have went through several leashes over the years. This leash by far is one of the best I have purchased. The leash does not tangle or get stuck and is very sturdy. We travel a lot and I use it frequently. Another great feature is the poopie bag attachment already sold with the leash, very convenient. I loved the prouduct, I have a beagle and the leash is flexible enough to give her space and strong enough to reel in when I need to.

I bought a couple of these, and they work great. I 'manage' two husky's, and I walk them on the beach about three times a week. Without this, they took me for a drag. Now I can actually take them for a walk. They love the beach, so it's a win-win for all of us.Peace and love to all dog lovers.and everyone else too, but mostly dog lovers (I'm biased). Have tried many of the retractable leash brands for my dog Austin. He tends to be a surprise puller whenever he sees an animal and we ran through a lot of leashes as a result. This leash has been the best of all we have tried. Have used it in all seasons and it works flawlessly. Was starting to get a bit of fray on the leash after 2+ years but only reason I replaced it was I can't find it since the grandkids were here.
