Yes, big enough for a tea light. The product is stamped from very thin metal and balances unevenly on the spindle. In fact, it's so light that it's moved by a draft from the air conditioner vent.

Surprisingly good quality. The paint on the top feels cheap but other than that everything else looks very good with a good weight. I chose the cat and got additional butterflies which my kids just love. Very easy to set up and rotates beautifully with the tea light. I could get them and give them to the teachers for Christmas.

I didn't have that when I was an adult. As a child, my parents had a large one with little angels that turned when a candle was lit underneath.
