Create a comfortable, attractive, cool outdoor enjoyment area. Waterproof sails are made from high density polyester that blocks up to 98% of the sun's U*V rays and repels up to 99% of rain water. Recommended Install at a 20-40 degree angle with maximum tension to allow rain runoff. If not, rain water may accumulate in the shade like a bag, which can cause the material to stretch. You need to tighten the shade, or set it at a steeper angle. Also make sure that there is no place where water could accumulate that would prevent water running straight off. Important: Our shade sails have curved sides to enhance pull strength and prevent drooping; this can add 1”-8” in side length. Middle-center of sail will be shorter in width due to curves. If straight sides are preferred please contact us. Read description for details. Easy to clean with water. Great Shade Sail for the price!

This wonderful waterproof shade sail certainly lives up to its name. After a heavy downpour the sail filled with water and sagged below the canopy top that I have. Fortunately - this allowed me to see that it is indeed waterproof, and that I just needed to tighten the corners to prevent rainwater capture again. I did exactly that, and since it has held up to multiple downpours with no issue. The only wish that I had regarding this product is that the seems be ran crossways as well. Otherwise…

Sags too much for my opinion

I don't what happened to these shade sails coming out of China. Two years ago (2019) I designed a shade area for my deck consisting of 3 posts and one house attachment. 12 x 12. I had no problems with 12 x 12 sails which tightened very well with little sag. The only problem was when it rained, the sail would collect water and sag. Ruined the sail. So, I would order another and keep better track of the weather. These are not made to be in rain. I get that. This is my 4th sail in a couple of…

Not waterproof best in my review

The material is not waterproof and does not look as shown in the pics. Sent an email to seller and no response. Stay away from this product.

Bigger than 12x12 - my new review

My deck was built exactly 12x12 as boards were precut. This canopy was much bigger and sagged when it rained. Check to make sure the fit is correct. Now having to build roof frame on my deck to accommodate the size and place an angle for drainage. Until then post to hold up for no sagging.

(12'x24' purchased) Pretty much a big water balloon lol

Honestly don't bother wasting your money on the water proof ones, I've tried everything including ratchet straps to try and get it as tight as possible and it will still trap water and start to fail just from the weight of the water alone. By the time you add supports etc to try and get the water to shed off (yes mine was at 40*+ lol) you pretty much paid for an actual roof system. I'm sure the mesh ones are fine for shade and passively letting rainwater through but the water proof ones are a…

Great product - worth the money!

We bought this in a 12 x 14 red. It's very well made, solid stitching along the seams and in the corners. Once it was up, we sprayed it down with the garden hose and it's definitely waterproof.
