Pretty, slightly thinner paper

The paper was quite thin, not as strong as I had hoped, but nice and did the job. I kept a roll of duct tape on hand to hold the box together during the assembly process.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • May hurt

Good for St. Patrick's Day fun

Okay, it took me a while to figure out how to fold these poles. But once you get the hang of it, they're great for holding small treats. They were also perfect for the 'pot of gold' we gave to one of our zoo animals for St. Patrick's Day!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Update available

Great bars. Best Event and Party Supplies

These gold bars are great for decoration. I bought these to add to a casino themed party which worked out well. However, the gold bars are a lot smaller than I expected and I'm okay with that because they still work well. Got several compliments on the decoration.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Long Wait

Cheap, Shiny and Small

These are cute little gold bars for small candies like gold chocolates or gold nugget chewing gum. I find them very easy to fold. The only real issue is that there is an extra crease to keep it flat when shipped. When assembled, this becomes visible as an additional fold line on the underside. With a little understanding of geometry this could have been avoided. But they're cheap enough, shiny little boxes.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Some bugs

A fun addition to our National Pirate Day treasure hunt conversation

They were part of the "pirate loot" my grandchildren found treasure hunting at National Talk Like a Pirate Day. My grandmothers liked to find "gold bars". Each box has held up and I will be using them again next year. The boxes are pretty easy to put together - just unfold one of the long folds and use an extra fold next to it so the bottom of the box is wider than the top.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Good for a Minecraft themed party

I thought it would be a great accent for my son's Minecraft themed birthday party. They're small (about 3 inches long) so make sure they fit your needs. Although it took a few minutes to figure out how to fold them into a bar shape. I found that if I used the fold lines as a guide but focused on making it in the shape of a bullion rather than a rectangle, the boxes were pretty easy to put together look like gold but you are only limited by your imagination. The price was right and most of allโ€ฆ

Great for parties, stockings, gifts, etc! Very cute and fun to use

"Santa Claus" stacked them and placed them under the tree on Christmas Eve. My oldest son was (and still is) a Minecraft fan and was delighted to learn that Santa had left gold bars (filled with awesome treats and surprises) somewhat reminiscent of his Minecraft game. You can use them as party favors, stockings, prizes (filled with something nice, that is :) etc. and you can fill them with quite a few little treats. They really add a fun finishing touch and are finished in a gorgeous metallicโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Look like miniature gold bars!

Perfect as a birthday gift. I understand why stacking boxes has been difficult for some people; The boxes are not square (wider at the bottom) so they need to be folded in a specific way for the end flaps to fit. I thought it was pretty easy but I had to show my school age daughter a few times before she got the hang of it. . A 1 pound sack of Chocorocks filled 12 boxes of gold bars. Assembled boxes are 3 inches long and 1.5 inches wide, making them suitable for favors or very small gifts. I'mโ€ฆ

Great treat for a party! Suitable for event and party supplies

Perfect for what they are 3" fairly sturdy gift box. The simplest origami schemes brought me to tears! It was easy once you realized that packing creates a seam that is not a fold line. 1-Press the sides of the box to open it, but ignore the seam. Fold the marked line 2 times next to the seam. There should be no more confusion. Size: They are exactly as advertised in terms of size. They're not big, but they're not tiny either. For those like me who have spatial difficulties, a ruler can helpโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Many fit in
Cons
  • Some toughness
