not bad cables and connections

I wanted the cable to transfer video from the camcorder to the computer. The cable works perfectly. Too bad I might need another one as my new computer has a 6 pin connector. if no 4-pin to 6-pin adapter is available. The cable is difficult to bend, but serves its purpose. Better than paying $30 in Circuit City

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • not sure

Ideal for computer accessories and peripherals

This is exactly what I needed. I'm glad I bought the 6 foot cable instead of the 3 foot cable based on another customer review. 6ft offers more space to work between camera and PC.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some small items

Ideal for connecting a camcorder to a PC/Mac FireWire port

This product works perfectly as advertised. I was looking for an inexpensive, high-quality FireWire cable to connect my Sony HDR-HC1 camcorder to my computer for HDV video transfer. I connected one end to the camera, the other end to my PC's FireWire port, launched the editing software, and began transferring the video. If you've never bought a FireWire cable, a word of caution: make sure your device accepts a 4-pin cable, not a 6-pin cable, which is wider and supposedly very similar to USBโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Good value for money

I bought this cable to transfer video files from JVC camcorder to laptop on channel 1349. It works fine but I think if it had noise filter the quality could be better. In any case I am very satisfied with this cable for the price and the quality.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Lots of things

Quality cable: Firewire cable

Just received it and use it all day, no problem with it. Quality construction as you would expect from Belkin products, with a clear outer insulator showing the braided shielding inside. They brag about the strength of the product and it works for me - I'm convinced. The ports are also sturdy and large enough to be easy to grab while being bulky.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Ideal for Canon HV20 HD camcorder

Bought a cable to connect the camcorder to a PC. Works perfectly. The quality of the cable is very good. I don't see anything wrong with that. The signal was perfect and I was able to record the video captured by the HV20 onto Blu-ray. The results speak for themselves. The price is right and I am very happy with this cable.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgrades

It works. I'm happy

I needed this 4 pin to 4 pin cable to upload Hi-8 digital video from a Sony camera to an XP laptop that I own (actually my work laptop). Because Sony chose not to write the drivers needed to run Vista 64, I had to purchase this cable. Sony, the customer friendly guys, wanted to charge me $39.99 for the cable and said they couldn't ship it to me for a few weeks. I can't remember how much I spent on the Belkin cable, but it was a little over $10 and I had it in two days. And it works. But I won't

Pros
  • New to my collection

Speed โ€‹โ€‹Matters Best in Computers and Accessories

First, make sure your camera and computer have a 4-pin connection and work with FireWire. Then this cable is worth its weight in gold because it saves you an enormous amount of time when transferring videos and images compared to using a USB cable.

  • Even the Old Ones Understand
