Finally something that works with my new Macbook Air with M1 chip

This is the third hub I have bought since I got my new laptop and this is the first which works accordingly. My two external monitors work without any problems, unlike previous hubs. Definitely recommended if you have a laptop with an M1 chip!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Originally designed for laptops only

I just received a USB-C hub from Belkin and found that it's really only good for laptops with few peripherals. The 6 inch cable is too short for my iMac and I buy a USB extension cable. Another problem is that the more cables you connect, the more difficult it becomes to use the SD card slot.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Expensive

NOT FUNCTIONALIZING - My dual monitors are not recognized

This was my second device in a week and neither of them recognize my dual monitors. Revain support was unable to resolve the issue with the first unit, so the second unit was sent. The second unit had the same issue so I called Belkin support and AFTER 3 calls the support rep was so helpful and very keen to resolve the issue. YOU COULD NOT fix the problem.

  • Absolute Legend

Old-fashioned docking station, modern ports

I like this docking station because it allows me to standardize my Mac and Windows laptops on the same device. Because it uses DisplayLink, Apple M1 computers can connect to up to two external displays with this device. I've given it to about 10 people in my company and I use it with my M1 Mac, I haven't had any problems so far except that I had to manually launch DisplayLink Manager once when it crashed. I highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Speed

MacBook Pro M1 multi-screen fix, albeit not bug-free.

Yes, this works with MacBook Pro M1 to access additional screens in combination with DisplayLink download and drivers. No, it is not error free. Some apps experience glitches when used, requiring disconnect and reconnect (e.g. Apple TV, which sometimes has issues with non-Apple displays). For my workflow, it's exactly what I needed from a trusted brand to solve the ridiculous problem Apple created with the M1 by not enabling multiple displays on the MacBook Pro. Thank you Bellini!

Didn't work at all, no pass-through charging, no power cord included.

I'm usually a fan of Belkin products and when I read it was compatible with the new M1 MacBook Air I ordered it. The product looked good, but when I connected it to a USB-C power cable (not included, btw. Seriously. No way to connect it without buying another USB-C power cable and a brick?) , Nothing happened. My laptop is on battery. No transit shop. I will ask for a return/refund. Maybe I just have a defect, but it's not worth looking for a malfunction. It really should be plug and play, not…

Doesn't work with VGA or even headphone jack!

I had really high hopes for this. I need a VGA connector and others. VGA only works when connected directly via a Thunderport 3 adapter. The headphone jack doesn't work either, had to be reconnected to the computer to work. Although the USB port works. There is no power connection to the panel, so the lack of power cannot be blamed. "Cheap" headphones, for example, still require additional power. Thunderport cable is too short. Where it's found for availability for USB, SD cards and VGA, the…

Non Apple M1 Connector - USB Hubs

It can be said to work, but there are many problems. In order to see the image you need to install an additional driver, it doesn't work without driver, there is no image at all even if you have a type-c monitor. And this driver is very unstable, for example I had a problem when I tried to log into a Google account from a browser and it didn't work when the monitor was connected through this hub, but when I connected mine directly , the problem went away and when I tried to use this hub again…

does what it says But. (Beware for M1 Mac owners)

I have a 13" 2020 M1 MacBook Pro that has a hidden native "feature" that it doesn't support more than one display (beware of Gen 1 products). This dock, when combined with the DisplayLink Manager, offers multi-display support, but know that it will NOT work in clamshell mode (which is a compelling use case for getting a workstation up and running). Desktop, that's still not an option, I suspect the only option is to move the Apple Silicon MacBook 2nd Gen. Google some displays for the MacBook M1
