Disappointingly good for external components

Although this product appeared to work with Windows 2000, it did not work consistently with the Windows XP that was on my laptop. After all the skirmishes between HP, Microsoft and Belkin technicians (mostly somewhere in India) I gave up trying to connect a desktop and laptop computer to the new HP 1020 printer and now have to manually switch the input cables for print jobs . Very disappointed. Returned unit for full credit - no questions asked. (The only good part of the deal)

Pros
  • Allows USB devices to be shared between 2 computers
Cons
  • No

Galaxy technology is good for external components

I was very disappointed because I wanted a USB port for a computer and this was for a computer phone line. I had to pay for the return shipping ($5.15) and then didn't know who would send me a refund. It turned out to be the original Technology Galaxy company via Revain. The original amount was $32.08 and when I received my refund it was $21.21. Big difference, especially when I had to pay for return shipping. I will never buy from Technology Galaxy again.

Pros
  • Compatible with Windows and Mac

Multifunction printer users beware

Compus salesman handed me a 2x1 switch after I told him my printer was a multifunction printer and said it was compatible . guess - NO. If you don't keep the package, don't take it back. The device actually works fine as long as I manually switch the computer cables. which defeats the whole point of the switch.

Pros
  • Works with USB 1.1 and 2.0, transfer rate up to 12Mbps
Cons
  • Slightly dented

It's OK Computer Components

This switch has intermittent problems switching between devices. Most likely I will not buy them again, they have been discarded since purchase.

Pros
  • No PSU Required, 100% Bus Power
Cons
  • Anything I can add
