Doesn't work when sewing

Tools literally don't work. The one for cutting holes doesn't even leave an imprint on the fabric, the other tool doesn't do anything either. I ended up nailing them together, resulting in broken, unsightly pieces.

Does its job well for sewing supplies and accessories

This set was fine. I should have just invested in one of the big press releases, but I was cheap. What was used to cut holes didn't work so I had to use scissors. And I was annoyed that the box it came in wasn't big enough to organize each piece by color and store it separately. But the rest of the tools get the job done. Just need a hammer.

Handy and comes in a neat case

Great when you need jacks! I particularly like that the product comes in an organizer, although the pieces were only partially sorted (had to fish out the washers in a separate compartment. I used them on a corset (two layers of canvas and one polycotton) and they work great, they do just need to be carefully installed to ensure the parts fit well together.

disappointed for several reasons

General Company. They were very good. I thought they were the same but they are so light you can't use them on thick material. I wanted them to replace the polypropylene straps on the sunbeds. I think they should be fine for that so I didn't return them but I don't recommend them for heavier work. The metal is so thin that sometimes it breaks when you put the 2 pieces together. The punch quickly becomes blunt. I had to sharpen it regularly with a whetstone.

Read instructions! I think I remember reading a lot of people saying the bushings just broke so here's a tip: if you're going through thick or heavy fabric (I went through 4 layers) make sure you pierce a hole and keep an eye on it. so that the eyelet base cleans the fabric. Then touch LIGHTLY. JUST GO. About 8-12 times with a regular hammer gave excellent results. I hammered 28 eyelets into my Renaissance dress and carried it in the car, walked, danced for 10 hours. Too much defective product

I only give 2 stars here because the metal does not even rust after weekly washes. However, I probably threw away a quarter of the grommets I received (if not more) just because of the device you're clogging. It does a terrible job of getting the jack to wrap around a small piece of mount (sorry I don't know what to call it) and half the time it just tumbles straight down and does nothing.
