🌸 Benway Colorful Lucky Tree Flowers Cross Stitch Kit - 14 Count, 15''x15'' Review

Very cute pattern. BUT the thread is of poor quality and gets fuzzy where the ring is on the pattern and anywhere you keep holding the pattern ring inside. Threading is difficult without a needle threader. I would call it a moderately complex pattern. There is so much color everywhere that you have to count, jump and retie a lot. When you're done, it will still be very cute, and others probably won't see the blur. But I've decided to give this one a break and start another one and the thread…

I just received the kit today and everything seems fine except the canvas is NOT white. The one I received, although nicely finished around the edges, looks like a muddy lavender color. It's not good for other colors at all, so I need to buy a white canvas before starting this project. That's pretty poor quality control. I also received a second Benway kit which included a white screen.

I gave it 5 stars because I like the pattern and the sewn product is very beautiful, bright, light shaded colors . BUT! I'm very disappointed because there are a lot of colors that don't have floss - it's frustrating to say the least - and I'm very careful about how I floss so I know I haven't been extravagant. It is important for those considering a purchase to know that this is NOT a starter kit.

It's been quite a while since I've tried counted cross stitch and this one is great. It's easy to understand, but it's not an easy feat... I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. At the same time, the quality of the Aida fabric is quite thick and durable. The package is well put together with two needles and I appreciate the fact that the thread is color separated on a separate card and easily identifiable.
