I wasn't sure I would like this brush. Very different from most brushes. Boar bristle brushes, but they are not safe. This brush will not be abused. The bristles are wooden, I'm not sure.

It was boxed, and inside the box was the comb, brush cleaner, and spare teeth in a burlap-like drawstring pouch, perfect for giving and receiving. There were no objectionable odors or chemical-like odors. The size of the brush is correct: about 6.3 inches long and about 3.5 inches wide. The size is perfect for a small child or will fit an adult when carried in a handbag, just be aware of the size.

This is a cute little cat head brush that holds the bristles. The rubber bristles feel so good on my head. They work their way through my hair, smoothing it and helping to untangle any tangles or knots that might get in the way. The comb comes with a storage bag. Having the brush in my pocket when I carry it in my purse protects the bristles and keeps other things from getting into the bristles, so it's nice to use when it's clean. I first bought this comb for myself (an adult woman with two cats so I was attracted to the cat shape). I have damaged/sensitive bleached hair and this comb is beautiful, gentle and detangles well. I also like that spare bristles and a small cleaning brush are included. The only downside is that the short handle really isn't designed for grown-up hands. I ended up gifting it to a friend's daughter and bought a large wooden comb instead. But overall a great brush!
