The SATA connections seemed to work right away without using the drivers on the minidisk that came with it, but on Windows 10 I now have a driverless device in Device Manager. I have searched the CD for the appropriate driver but there are no instructions on which driver to use, there are several drivers on the CD.

I bought this because the Asus ROG STRIX Z-490-A had a dedicated PCIe-3 4x slot. Very easy to install. Windows 10 Pro recognized it and installed the drivers. I connected it to the eSATA CoolGear's internal and external 4-port PCI ports to simultaneously power external backup hard drives that I purchased. I'm getting transfer rates in excess of 1 Gbps. The board installed and worked straight away, no problems at first but shortly after the return window closed one of the 4 ports stopped working. I tried several devices on the "bad" port and nothing worked. All devices work on ANY of the other three ports and any port on the motherboard. The device worked properly for five days. Then suddenly it stopped working. The windows event log was filled with storahci errors indicating that windows was trying to restart the device, which was literally trying every minute.
