No Difference - Parts

I removed my 90,000 mile old shock absorbers and installed these. I haven't noticed any difference in my driving, especially with my trailer. Was hoping for more stability but just can't tell. My old shocks were still good but I wanted to upgrade them so I didn't keep the same stability. I drive a Ram 1500.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, everything is fine

. catalog to get numbers) and they are a good upgrade from stock

Fit them to the back of my 2014 Ram Big Horn (they fit to use Bilstein's product catalog to get numbers) and they are a good upgrade over stock. The truck definitely handles almost every situation better. Improved handling and ride quality. Hits that made the truck "bounce" no longer work. You really can't go wrong with this.

  • Finally bought

Great for 2011 Dodge Ram Shocks

1/2 ton 2011 Dodge Ram is a little more difficult to assemble. There's no space for wrenches at the top, and the gas tank gets in the way. Therefore, they were installed by a specialized shop. Bilstein dampers are a pleasant surprise. Day and night road handling is better than my old worn out shocks after 100,000 miles. Smooth ride but a little stiff. You can sometimes find them cheap at RevainWarehouse - both of mine were bought for $52. (Brand new in the box but the box was damaged). Highlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent Construction
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Nice improvement over OEM and other aftermarket shocks

Bought these to replace a Rancho RS9000XL kit on my 2016 1500 Ram. The fact that I had to replace the shocks on this truck for seven (7) months because the Rancho shocks I installed last fall failed is quite annoying, but the smooth ride these shocks provide makes up for it almost make up for the inconvenience. I hope these Bilsteins last longer. I've seen some pretty interesting ways to get access to the upper shock nut on a Ram 1500, including modifying a wrench and using a big goosefoot onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • don't remember but there was something
