Seems to do the job of filtering water, but this particular brand falls apart in my water bottle a lot more than the last brand I bought, Kishu. Otherwise it's just as great!

Ideal for water carafes in the refrigerator and bedside table. It's amazing how much clearer our water has become. We have well water but I would use them anywhere! They're not just for camping anymore, and getting me to drink more water is a pretty neat trick!

This is amazing! I have city water that sometimes takes on a weird pond smell in the summer and tastes so weird that dogs don't even want to drink it. I bought these to see if I can find an alternative to bottled water during smelly times. Happy to report that the whole family is now drinking water and it tastes great!

We use them to treat tap water. Our tap water tastes so much better and we don't get acid reflux from drinking it like regular tap water does. We store 3 in a liter jar and 1 in a refillable water bottle. Love it! We have been using this method for over a year. Much less wasteful than our previous Brita filter.

No plastic container with plastic wrap around so you can NOT use plastic. Britta's filter container was made of plastic and I bought a plastic insert/filter. Then my Britta model was no longer produced. Got me thinking about buying another newer plastic model. Weary. I wanted less waste and something eco-friendly. Received this as a plastic free alternative to the GoPure tap water filter capsule for drinking at work. However, they didn't work at all to filter chlorine (and I'm not suggesting otherwise) from the water. Before trying them at work, I tested them with two sticks in a liter of tap water. I left them overnight and in the morning the water still smelled of bleach. I let them sit for another 24 hours and the water still tasted like it was fresh from the tap.
