Bought this unit hoping to boost the Wi-Fi signal from the camera on the back of the 10 meter RV to the tablet mounted on the RV dash. This antenna did not amplify the signal in any way. Nothing. I wanted to extend the range of my wireless security cameras and decided to give them a try. After extensive testing, I have found that these antennas do not really extend the range of the standard antennas that come with my cameras, BUT I found a trick that extends the range SIGNIFICANTLY. My front gate is about 200 meters from my house (and dash cam). If you only use the antenna, the limit is around 65 yards and the signal is weak. Great antenna for your backup camera when using the camera on the back of a long trailer. I put an antenna on the monitor and one on the camera. The camera is mounted on the back of my 20ft trailer. I fire the camera all the time while my trailer moves. I no longer lose signal at 70mph, it also allows me to mount a camera in my trailer for cargo monitoring, making my backup cameras more versatile. And the split-screen monitor makes traveling more worry-free.
