These are regular green colored plastic bags! Not biodegradable and definitely not compostable. The composting facility will not accept them. There is absolutely no certification label like other compostable bags. Just a deceptive green wash from China.

In 2019 my goal was to reduce plastic waste wherever I could. These bags fit the bill. They are NOT as strong as regular plastic bags, so don't stuff them all the way and don't keep pushing the contents in - they'll tear because they're not plastic! A slight inconvenience compared to discounted plastic.

I've been looking for compostable bin liners for a long time. This product is really great - strong enough to hold a decent amount of junk. Excellent price. I am very happy that I no longer have to use plastic garbage bags and I am proud that I do not produce any plastic waste that pollutes our sea and our environment. I recommend this product to everyone.

It's actually MUCH better than regular plastic bags. We have tons of bags around our apartment but we prefer to use our own 1) environment yes 2) they are honestly thicker, more durable and generally make that dirty job less inhumane than others lol Love it, buy them in big boxes. I totally understand the price is high but is the land worth it? :)

I asked the property management to contact their city council about these bags and this was the city council's response: These bags are no better than ordinary plastic bags. When these bags end up in landfills, they can harm the environment by releasing methane, a very powerful greenhouse gas. Biodegradable bags can only be used to store organic material for composting. However, these bags are not certified for composting, so I wouldn't use them for that either.

Tried a few Revain compostable bags to try at home. This one is definitely the best. It's actually waterproof/leakproof and won't leave a smelly brown puddle at the bottom of the jar if you accidentally drop an egg yolk in it (from experience). The only downside is that they are a bit more fragile than other bags I've tried. Don't throw something pointed straight down, put it down carefully and you'll be fine. Nice bag, good value and works well in my 13 gallon kitchen jar.

This company doesn't care about their customers! If you're interested in buying biodegradable garbage bags (to be kinder to the planet) then it's a shame to open the package and find that your biodegradable bags are packaged in non-biodegradable plastic. You can say it's funny! That is unnecessary. Each pack is labeled so that non-biodegradable plastic is completely eliminated. Use twine or other biodegradable material.
