If you are working on small projects under 8 inches. If you need to type something more, this will not work. The measurement steps are in the same color as the whiteboard, so they are sometimes difficult to read. Don't rush because you will miss the line. I made a custom sized handmade envelope out of letter size paper. The more accurate metric scale allowed me to set the size better than the inch scale. Since I wanted to use a smaller square than recommended, I set the paper at the starting point (9mm) twice - in both the first and third counts. This made it more symmetrical. Folding over the count seemed to give a prettier line. I used a light hand and the trailing edge of the creasing knife on thinner paper.
